Delta Live Tables release 2024.09

These features and improvements were released with the 2024.09 release of Delta Live Tables.

Databricks Runtime versions used by this release

Channel:

  • CURRENT (default): Databricks Runtime 12.2.23 or 14.1.8

  • PREVIEW: Databricks Runtime 14.1.8 or 14.3.2

Note

Because Delta Live Tables channel releases follow a rolling upgrade process, channel upgrades are deployed to different regions at different times. Your release, including Databricks Runtime versions, might not be updated until a week or more after the initial release date. New features and improvements in this release

  • This release includes an update to improve the reliability of email notification delivery.

Bug fixes in this release

  • This release fixes a bug that causes Validate updates to fail for @append_flow queries.

  • This release fixes a bug that causes failed maintenance jobs to remain running for an extended period after failure.
